Diloret and Althyr used to live in harmony and even partner up.

After a brutal incident in which a Diloret that was bonded to one of the five Meisters was believed to have killed them, Althyr declared bitter war upon Diloret.

Ever since, they have been hunted down and have retreated to burrows far out in harsher lands.
Some Althyr still hunt Diloret either for sport, food or just out of spite, but today most Althyr and Diloret simply avoid contact.

After several years of war and destruction, Diloret and Althyr have settled on a pact to seperate the territories to stop these endless wars and misery.

Some Althyr as well as Diloret do not however abide by the new laws created during the pact, making them outlaws.
Some of which may actively pursue the other race, and some of which have found peace in each other, forming new neutral settlements where Diloret and Althyr can live mostly harmoniously, thought not always without tensions between the races.

There are also still some leftover battle sites, where an agreement has yet to be made upon land ownership.

A lot of modern Althyr view Diloret as feral and dangerous, and althought vastly larger and stronger on average, quite a few fear Althyr just as much.
